For those who don’t know her already, Izïa comes from a famous family of musicians, her late father Jacques Higelin for example, or her half-brother, Arthur H. Aged 31, she’s now a radiant mother who has overcome life’s obstacles and liberated herself from her family’s reputation in order to build her own sphere. As passionate about cinema as she is about music, she shines in both genres. She’s one of the few people who can boast winning several French Victoires de la musique awards as well as a French César film award. This energetic and irrepressible artist knows how to channel her vocal range. Following two very rock-oriented albums, she’s cleverly decided to expand her horizons by dipping into French chanson and electro-pop on her albums La Vague (2015), and Citadelle (2019).
