Jeanne Added is back to Saint-Cloud for a unique show in collaboration with the choir accentus.
At the initiative of Rock en Seine, the choir accentus, a prestigious ensemble founded by Laurence Equilbey and a reference in vocal music, is currently working with Jeanne Added on a special creation for the festival, where they will revisit the artist’s songs during her concert on August 23rd.
Releasing a debut album aged 35 is pretty cool, but it wasn’t the lifechanging event you might expect for Jeanne because this native of Reims had already spent her whole life surrounded by music. She studied the cello, jazz and classical singing, attending the Paris Conservatoire in 2001 followed by the Royal Academy of Music in London. Signed to the Naïve label, her powerful, profound and post-punk first album “Be Sensational” was released in 2015. In September 2018 she returned with a calmer and more electronic album: “Radiate”. A few months later, she won two well-deserved French Victoires de la Musique awards, one for Best Female Artist and another for Best Rock Album and this spring she’s heading out on a French arena tour.
