Hip-hop is the world where this twenty-something Parisian won his aristocratic spurs. A literature fan, he chose his pseudonym as a reference to Friday, or, The Other Island: in this novel by the French author Michel Touriner, the hero names his island Speranza to keep hope alive.
This self-proclaimed Lord wrote his first lyrics when he was still at school – his love of hip-hop was not born yesterday. Spotted via his YouTube videos, he now has numerous EPs under his belt and a solo album (Polaroïd) released last October, where he is joined by various guests (including Roméo Elvis) and sweeps up other artists who have influenced him in his powerful flow. Special mention goes to Sol d’étoiles (‘sun of stars’) featuring Anaïka, where the stars of the title a reflected in his status as a star of the future.
