As comfortable voicing spoken word as she is singing honey-drenched soul, Lynn made waves earlier this year during a Colors session, the music platform that showcases new talent before anyone else: against an ochre background and alone with just a shiny microphone, she sang J’aime pas le goût, a sulky sensual number with hints of bossa and R&B. Lynn is a French singer and composer who was discovered in 2021 on an EP called Le temps des sentiments. She’s also a member of the ixi collective alongside Gracy Hopkins, she’s fond of intimate texts that reveal her turmoil and disappointments, creating gentle but truthful music, surrounding her voice with warm compositions. Lynn’s decidedly female nu-soul is good for mind, body and soul.
