Performing at the very first edition of Rock en Seine in 2003, British trip-hop heroes 3D and Daddy G are regulars who honour us by returning for a fourth performance. At a time when most artists detail their every move on social media, the Bristol group remain shrouded in mystery – a position that deserves respect and reinforces the weight of their rare and therefore precious words. But it’s also through their music that they gain our admiration by giving spectacular concerts, true audiovisual experiences where the image is as curated at the sound, where their activism (for the environment, for human rights, for peace) is revealed and the band reach heady new heights.
