Leading this French group is singer and multi-instrumentalist Marion Brunetto. Brought up in Ramatuelle on a diet of music from a young age, she founded the group in 2015 and we were instantly hooked by her subtle minimalist rock sound, imbued with hints of surf rock, shoegaze, new wave and yé-yé pop. Her list of (impeccable) influences include: Etienne Daho, The Cure, Françoise Hardy, Beach House, La Femme, and Cigarettes After Sex. Officially established with the release of a promising eponymous debut album in 2015, it was followed by Sémaphore in 2019, then Bye Bye Baby in 2021. A very “made in France” trilogy that also strikes a bold note that’s emblematic of this new generation of emancipated and self-taught artists.
