Run the Jewels
In 2013 rappers El-P and Killer Mike had the brilliant idea to join forces. This collaboration was supposed to be a supergroup one-off album, but then they discovered they had an undeniable and astonishing joint energy – Run The Jewels was here to stay. Capable of injecting humour in their sociopolitical revolutionary tracks, this independent duo have overturned American hip-hop clichés with their first three albums – and according a tweet from El-P at the end of 2019, a fourth is in the works. Always open to new experiences, Run The Jewels loves mixing it up with artists from all influences to work on collaborations (DJ Shadow, Zach de la Rocha, Kamasi Washington). In concert. the crowd is easily won over by their energetic and dynamic live performances.
