A reliable force on the British rock scene, Franz Ferdinand reached for the moon with their eponymous debut more than twenty years ago, a playful calling card that included the lively hit Take Me Out. That was the start of their fraternal relationship with France, which has lauded them since the beginning. It’s also where much of their fifth album, Always Ascending (2018), was recorded with the late Philippe Zdar. Their impeccable discography includes their 2015 album FFS in collaboration with the duo Sparks.
