Kurt Vile & The Violators en concert
A former member of The War on Drugs (from the band’s formation in 2005 until 2009), Kurt Vile carries forward a certain idea of North American rock in the proud tradition of major songwriters such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty. Now focused on his solo project, the Pennsylvania native first released two albums gathering his home recordings. Everything changed in 2009 when he signed with the Matador label and, soon after, delivered his third record (the first perfected in a full studio setting), the unforgettable Childish Prodigy. Since then this guitarist and singer has kept up a dizzying pace and has been widely acclaimed for his rock craftsmanship, collaborating notably with Dinosaur Jr, John Prine and Courtney Barnett.
