Bertrand Belin en concert à Rock en Seine
Perhaps you were at the 2023 edition of Rock en Seine, witnessing the moment when Bertrand Belin won over the crowd on the Main Stage with his murmuring voice, well judged turns of phrase and dark aura. Three years later we are delighted to welcome back the artist once dubbed the “French Nick Cave” by Anton Newcombe. Since then, this chic fifty-something figure of the French scene has released a new album, Watt (2025), the latest chapter in a multifaceted career that has seen him refine his musical sensibility in the most elegant realms of folk, electro, rock and chanson. He’s also an actor, a writer and a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres). An heir to Alain Bashung, he is a close collaborator of The Limiñanas, who likewise champion a free and uncompromising approach to music.
