BLOODY CIVILIAN live show at Rock en Seine
The latest breakout from Nigeria’s vibrant music scene, Bloody Civilian quickly caught the attention of heavyweight label Def Jam, which wasted no time signing her to their UK division. Before launching her solo career, Emoseh Khamofu (her real name) made her mark behind the scenes as a producer. She’s also a guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer and music video director (no small feat). Her official debut came in 2022 with a high-profile contribution to the soundtrack of Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Two EPs later, she’s proving her talent as a live performer too, while earning praise for helping to put West Africa firmly back on the R&B map – a genre she infuses with the bright textures of Afropop.
