CLUB AVANT SEINE

CHEST. live show at Rock en Seine
In February, their debut EP All Good Things End took the Paris post-punk scene by surprise. The five members of Chest. (a Franco-British frontman who’s also the singer in Purrs, and four French musicians who met in Paris’s Supersonic) proved they’re more than capable of holding their own alongside noise heavyweights like The Murder Capital, Idles or Ditz, their likely role models. NME even included them in their list of 100 artists to watch in 2025, a rare honour but rightly deserved. Their tracks erupt and snarl like a perfect release valve, letting the pressure blow in a storm of fury, torn-up riffs and rhythms that hit you square in the chest, which is fitting given the name.
