THE PSYCHOTIC MONKS & Guests live show at Rock en Seine !
Arguably the most emblematic post-punk band in France, The Psychotic Monks broke onto the alternative scene with their 2017 album Silence Slowly and Madly Shines and a standout appearance in the now-legendary KEXP session. That was nearly a decade ago. Since then, the band has matured, refined its sound and cemented its place as a key figure in dark, raw and intensely expressive rock, perfectly reflected in their 2023 album Pink Colour Surgery. Currently on a creative break and searching for new inspiration, The Psychotic Monks are taking on a bold new challenge: creating an exclusive set for Colis Suspect #4, a special event organised by the association Futur Composé for Rock en Seine. For this unique project, the band will collaborate with three musicians from institutions that support people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD): Étienne from ESAT Turbulences on keyboards, Markus from the Perce-Neige Alternote centre on drums, and Thierry Dupont from the band Ron Pon. With an experimental and instinctive approach to music, these artists will engage in a creative exchange with the band’s world, where chaos and improvisation always find balance.
