JACOTENE live show at Rock en Seine
Direct from Melbourne, Jacoténe will be touching down at Rock en Seine to showcase her stripped-back soul, laced with R&B and understated piano – very much in the style of artists like Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin, two icons who’ve deeply influenced her. The young Australian singer also boasts a powerful, uniquely textured voice, as heard on her singles Stronger and Stop Calling. She was discovered two years ago through her very first video, I Need Therapy, sung a cappella in a car park where the echo of her own voice encircles the listener like a spell. Pairing a suit with trainers, she was still just a teenager at the time but she already displayed an impressive maturity, both in her remarkable vocal control and in her fierce determination to climb the ladder.
