KIDS RETURN live show at Rock en Seine
In the beginning, Kids Return was a touching film by director Takeshi Kitano, telling the story of two high school friends who drop out to run wild. Deeply moved by this tale, Paris-based childhood friends Adrien Rozé and Clément Savoye chose it as the name for their duo. Formed in 2021, the band gave them a way to escape the anxiety of the pandemic by dreaming of elsewhere. Their music draws from indie rock, French touch, folk and the timeless soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Francis Lai. This eclecticism is one of their biggest strengths, placing them in the same creative lineage as their spiritual big brothers, think Phoenix, Air and MGMT. These rising stars of the French scene have already released two albums, Forever Melodies and 1997. Let’s just say the kids are alright!
