PPJ live show at Rock en Seine
A bold force on today’s club scene, PPJ brings together electronic music and the sounds of the favelas, from baile funk to samba, laced with a bright streak of electro-pop. The trio, made up of Páula, Povoa and Jerge (hence the name), simply make music that reflects who they are, rooted in their heritage and fuelled by their shared instincts. The members of this French-Brazilian group have already made their mark elsewhere – in acts like Rahim during the Christine and the Queens era, or alongside Myd. Since the release of their debut EP Primavera five years ago, they’ve been extending their borderless bacchanalia, both geographically and musically. And that same boundless energy is contagious on stage, where feverish rhythms invite the whole crowd to move as one.
