THE ROYSTON CLUB live show at Rock en Seine
With their unmistakable lad energy, The Royston Club conjure up images of a cosy pub with the clink of pint glasses, or a football match echoing with chants from the stands. Hailing from Wrexham in North East Wales, the four friends behind the band haven’t formed a closed-off club – everyone’s welcome, in the same spirit of camaraderie they learned from their heroes, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys. Their guitar-driven indie rock, packed with stadium-worthy songs and played like their lives depend on it, channels that same energy. Their debut album, Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars (2023), makes it loud and clear. Even actor Ryan Reynolds, unlikely co-owner of their hometown football club, has given this Welsh quartet his seal of approval.
