TREAKS live show at Rock en Seine
A fiery mixed-gender trio, Treaks burst in like a hurricane, shaking up everything in their path: assumptions, bad habits and tired clichés. Infused with post-punk and a few touches of techno, this group from Nantes has just released their debut album Ego, led by the explosive single Tiny Brain. On this convulsive track teetering on the edge of a meltdown, singer-guitarist Clothilde Arthuis, bassist Théophane Calvano-Grill and drummer Owen Cummins tackle the subject of consent head-on and deliver a jolt of energy that’s impossible to ignore. Bold and uncompromising, the album firmly establishes them as one of the most exciting new names in France’s post-punk scene, much to the delight of fans of Idles and Model/Actriz.
