A good night? More like a sleepless one, spent listening on repeat to the electro-pop cold-wave tracks of this uncompromising duo, who sing in French of their disillusions and anxieties. Étienne Coutand and Théodore Babarit, the two friends who founded the group in 2023 in the French Vendée region before relocating to Paris, count Rebeka Warrior, Bagarre, Flavien Berger and Ascendant Vierge among the artists they admire. You can hear in their music the desire to write powerful, unfiltered lyrics while still getting their audience dancing. Equally in love with synths and guitars, the duo (already seen supporting Zaho de Sagazan) are playing extensively this year, carrying their nocturnal tracks wherever they can: six songs on an EP released earlier this year, the cornerstone of something much larger that’s still under construction.
