After the suspended moment created by The Psychotic Monks and the singular artists Etienne, Thierry, and Markus for the 2025 creation, Rock en Seine and the association Futur Composé continue their commitment to bring talented artists with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) on the stage, offering festivalgoers a truly extraordinary performance.
Probably one of the most singular bands on the French rock/cold wave scene, Gwendoline has made its mark with witty, sharp, and deeply lucid lyrics that question the absurdities of our time over haunting melodies infused with sounds from another era. The band first gained widespread attention with the album Après c’est gobelet in 2022, later confirming its success with C’est à moi ça, and is currently working on a new record.
Taking advantage of a break between two studio sessions, Gwendoline is now embracing a completely new challenge: imagining this original creation alongside young talents from the Futur Composé network for the Rock en Seine festival.
For this unconventional adventure, the band is joined by three singular personalities: Raphaël, a young beatmaker from Nantes with an instinctive electronic universe; Gaspard, a charismatic frontman and member of Le Papotin; and Rudy Meskine, an atypical poet and the author of the project’s lyrics.
Together, they are creating an entirely original repertoire designed specifically for this collaboration, blending raw poetry, hypnotic rhythms, unlikely covers, and collective energy. A free and unexpected creation, driven by a shared desire to conjure a great celebration out of chaos.
