La Flemme en concert à Rock en Seine
Winner of the Inrocks Super Club 2025 competition, this mixed-gender quartet is anything but lazy or laid-back, despite what their name might suggest. In French, “la flemme” means couldn’t-be-bothered energy, the art of doing as little as possible. This band has none of it. Here crackles the rowdiest kind of rock, with grunge, punk and a hint of psychedelia around the edges. Stella Lopez (bass, vocals), Charles Priem (drums), Jules Massa (guitar, vocals) and Ronie Marciano (guitar) released their debut album, La Fête (“The Party”), last year, channelling their Anglo-Saxon influences while making the singular personality of this band of friends unmistakably heard. Standard-bearers of a new uninhibited scene, these restless musicians are putting Marseille back on the map of French rock.
