Parsa Sabet en concert à Rock en Seine
You can hear Prince in Valery, Mk.gee in Checkmate, echoes of Tamino and therefore Thom Yorke in Stuck: through the first songs he has released these past few months, Parsa Sabet sketches a kind of self-portrait. Yet beyond the influences shimmering at the surface, his music above all reflects one person: himself, this Parisian by adoption who was born in Iran and raised in Malaysia. On his social media, he describes what he does as “experimental fairytale music”. Drawn to introspection, this prodigiously gifted singer, guitarist and composer crafts refined pop-R&B tracks, with particular care given to textures and the treatment of his singular voice. Exceptionally delicate.
