Sarāb en concert à Rock en Seine

Climène Zarkan, a Franco-Syrian singer and musician of visceral, incantatory presence, grew up between France and Damascus. Baptiste Ferrandis, a guitarist with a wandering spirit, composes alongside her in total creative symbiosis. Together they initiated the Sarab project in 2018, and since then other collaborators have joined the adventure, adding their own spices on drums (Paul Berne), bass (Timothée Robert) and keyboards (Thibault Gomez). Their territory: sensory music at the confluence of jazz, rock and Middle Eastern sounds. In Arabic, Sarāb means “mirage”, a perfect illustration of the shifting, fluid tracks that populate their albums. The most recent, reconciling tradition and modernity, was released in February, a bridge between East and West.
