TTSSFU en concert à Rock en Seine
Born at the turn of this century, raised in the suburbs of Manchester and weaned on a diet of grunge, Blondie, The Cure and dream-pop, Tasmin Stephens has learned from her heroes, taking on board all the good advice and avoiding all the pitfalls. This former guitarist of post-punk group Duvet decided to strike out alone under the enigmatic name TTSSFU. Two mini-albums, Me, Jed and Andy (2024) and Blown (2025), have demonstrated the full potential of this gem on the Partisan label, from her passion for shoegaze atmospherics to her whispering voice that she can which she can suddenly push to new heights, not to mention her guitar explorations, which veer at times towards shoegaze reverb and at others towards grunge abrasion. Could it be that TTSSFU stands for Totally Talented, Splendidly Spectacular and Fabulously Unique?
