Jonny Greenwood, Radiohead’s prodigious guitarist, is on double duty: the same day as he’s on stage with The Smile at Rock en Seine he will also perform live with Dudu Tassa, singer and guitarist from Tel Aviv with numerous solo and full-band albums under his belt. The two musicians collaborated in 2009 on Dudu Tassa’s album, going on to share the stage in 2017 when Radiohead asked Dudu Tassa & The Kuwaitis to support them on tour. Their creative friendship was extended in 2023 with a joint album entitled Jarak Qaribak that was mixed by the brilliant Nigel Godrich. A work that delves into the classics of the Middle Eastern repertoire and invites voices from different cultures to come together and share music with no borders.
