Like his friends Drake, Travis Scott and Tyler, the Creator, with whom he has participated in some remarkable collaborations, Teezo Touchdown is a rapper in the modern sense of the term: an artist without musical frontiers, with zero clichés, who borrows happily from several styles to feed his musical obsessions. Indie rock guitars, trap style beats, self-acknowledged pop melodies, suave R&B. The thirtysomething Texan has a carefully curated look and his first musical forays can be heard on his more than promising debut album, How Do You Sleep At Night?, released in September 2023 featuring a succession of guests (including Janelle Monáe and Fousheé). Speaking about the album on Instagram the mighty Drake has declared it to be “some of the best music ever”.
