Thirty-five years after their eponymous album, Dexter Holland, Noodles and their band have become a pop-punk reference. The years go by and their releases have become less frequent (their two most recent albums were released in 2021 and 2012), yet the rage that resides in these Californians has not abated. Their teenage preoccupations have given way to other themes, those of adults in their fifties but whose energy remains unfaded. The band will surely celebrate the 30th anniversary of Smash (1994), their cult album that’s sold over 11 million copies, becoming a global indie label bestseller. As they like to say “Hey, come out and play!”
