On X, they describe themselves as a “musical and graphic collective” and it’s true that it’s hard to refer to 135 as just a band. Their tracks fall as much within the hip-hop movement (for the flow) as it does club music (for the rhythms and house sounds), because the members of 135 come from both these worlds that have become increasingly permeable to facilitate exchanges. They have even given a name to their style: “dry music.” One of their first tracks is called Dry House, followed by Boiler Room and Climax, all three released over the past year at irregular intervals.
