Worthy winner of the 2024 Rock en Seine Award and a recent beneficiary of Le FAIR (the French Rock Initiative Support Fund), this young artist from Montpellier shapes pop music as she sees fit. Her very first EP, Morphée (2022), revealed her talents as a composer and singer. The rest of her discography has only confirmed her evident gift for pop tinged with soul, introspective lyrics where tenderness and sarcasm coexist and sophisticated arrangements that are not incompatible with electronic touches. On Jules et Jim and Jour de pluie, two tracks from her new EP, Joe la panic continues her journey between electro-pop and French chanson, with her elegant voice and jazzy accents that sometimes recall the timbre of Angèle or the groovy relaxation of L’Impératrice.
