She may have been “Born in Toulouse,” but she’s certainly not “born to lose,” Geagea (Géraldine Baux in real life) was nurtured on 1990s indie rock, especially Garbage and her music exhibits the same allure for guitars and electronic special effects. A former member of the band Las Aves, this composer, producer and guitarist released her first solo single in 2022, Someone I Already Love, choosing the language of Shirley Manson and Grimes to express herself musically. She pulls off a hat trick in May 2024: opening for Hinds and Lulu Van Trapp and unveiling a brand new single, called Everything, All at Once. We are hopeful that when she announced “A new era in my musical life,” on an Instagram post that it means that she’s preparing more musical gems.
